About The Position

Responsible for executing the purchases and sales securities by authorized individuals, rebalancing client accounts and maintaining modeling program. Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Required.
  • 5-10 years of trading experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of securities, their markets and trade-related activities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superb work ethic, attention to detail, and team orientation.
  • Experience trading multiple asset classes, all market caps, international, ETN and ETF creation, ADRs, and derivatives.
  • Strong technology skills, proficiency with Bloomberg, order management systems, and execution management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Trading all asset classes, market caps, equities, fixed income, derivatives, ETFs, ETNs, ADRs, and structured notes.
  • Understanding different methods of placing orders with designated brokers and determining the most effective broker for time-sensitive or large orders.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electronic order management systems, execution management systems, algorithms, DMAs, dark pools, and crossing networks.
  • Receiving executed orders back from the brokerage community and ensuring they are properly posted and settled on the accounting system.
  • Maintaining contact with Portfolio Managers by communicating market sentiment and the current trading environment.
  • Handling the daily trading operation when the senior trader is out of the office.
  • Receiving investment model updates and changes from internal and external strategy teams and executing across institutional and personal trust accounts.
  • Managing high volume, high transaction, high risk systems.
  • Working with internal and external strategists to develop workflows for updating models, rebalancing accounts, and implementing strategy changes.
  • Reconciling model positions on a monthly basis.
  • Monitoring, identifying, and correcting any account-level cash or position deviations from the model.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining procedures for ensuring minimal dispersion of returns for separately managed accounts.
  • Working to continuously reduce implementation shortfall.
  • Executing all modeled account maintenance requests from portfolio managers and financial advisors.
  • Creating and releasing large block orders.
  • Tracking and implementing socially responsible restrictions, unmanaged restrictions, and cash requirements for all institutional and personal trust modeled accounts.
  • Managing all aspects of SMA and UMA modeling platforms.
  • Working with IT and vendors on system conversions, upgrades, and day-to-day maintenance.
  • Providing guidance to portfolio managers and strategists on fund selection within asset allocation models.
  • Familiarity with liquidity, trading restrictions, and account minimums.
