About The Position

The Tailor/Fitter provides customers with high-quality service through skilled fitting and garment alterations. The role measures customers, fits garments, marks alteration areas, completes fittings and sewing alterations on time according to Nordstrom guidelines and service standards, and uses store technology to manage customer alteration needs. The Tailor works collaboratively with the Alterations and Store teams, meets productivity goals while following proper procedures, and professionally educates customers and employees about fit, style, garment construction, and trends.

Requirements

Previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience; a preferred minimum of 2–3 years is stated.
Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers.
Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks and customer requests in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery and standard alterations equipment.
Ability to embrace a flexible working schedule based on business needs.

Nice To Haves

Previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience, preferably with a minimum of 2–3 years.
