About The Position

Language Trainers, an international language training company founded in 2004, is seeking a Tagalog teacher for a client in Boston, United States. The company specializes in customized language training for professionals and private students for various purposes. This is a freelance, part-time position for one-to-one general Tagalog lessons. The total hours for the course are 25, with each session lasting two hours and 30 minutes (back-to-back lessons). The lessons will be held at 200 Arsenal St., 02472, MA. The students are an adult at an elementary/lower intermediate level and their daughter at an elementary level. The schedule is once a week, with the adult receiving two hours of instruction and the daughter 30 minutes, back-to-back. Preferred times are Sunday evening or Thursday evening, ideally starting from 5:30-6pm for the adult and then 6-8pm for the daughter. The start date is as soon as possible. The motivation for learning is cultural importance within the family, as the husband is Filipino.

Requirements

Native Tagalog speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification.
Experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
Valid work permit/visa.
Live within 20 miles of 200 Arsenal St., 02472, MA.
