About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Tactical Security Officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The role involves monitoring environments, anticipating risks, and responding appropriately to potential threats. Officers patrol sensitive areas and may work in settings such as retail stores, airports, or detention centers. Physical ability is essential, including standing and walking throughout the shift.

Two full-time schedule options are available: Wednesday through Sunday, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., or variable shifts with availability to cover call-offs. The position pays $21.15 per hour. A uniform is provided at no cost, and career growth opportunities are available. Employment is contingent on completing a background check and drug screening after an offer is extended.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass an extensive screening process.
• Be able to stand and walk for the entire shift.
• Have military, law enforcement, or Level 2 security experience, or be currently enrolled in or have completed an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, or Peace Officer & Public Safety.
• Hold Level 2 certification or be willing to obtain it.
• Hold a state license if required.

• First aid certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to identify suspicious activity.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents.
• Check that alarms and cameras are functioning properly.
• Document incidents and actions taken.
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Protect the safety of individuals and property.
