About The Position

Ready to suit up as a Tactical Security Guard? What matters most in a role like this is your ability to read the environment, anticipate risk and act accordingly. Your keen sense of observation and strong social skills are your greatest strengths. As a Tactical Security Guard, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, security facility centers, etc.

Requirements

Be authorized to work in Canada
Hold a valid BC security license
First aid certification - OFA 2 - Required
Strong communication and customer service skills
Strong report writing skills
Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
Demonstrated ability to act decisively in high-pressure situations
Strong proficiency with technology
Ability to stand and walk throughout shift

Responsibilities

Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the premises on a regular basis
Monitor for unauthorized activity, safety hazards, and security breaches
Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and alarms
Provide First Aid (OFA 2 level) when required and complete all necessary documentation
Maintain accurate reports including daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift pass-ons
Enforce site policies and procedures in a professional and consistent manner
Assist with access control and ensure only authorized individuals enter the premises
Provide excellent customer service and act as a point of contact for staff, students, and visitors
Communicate effectively with supervisors and emergency services when required
