Requirements

Valid BC Security Guard License
Must have resided in Canada for the past 5 years
High school diploma or equivalent (proof of education required)
Able to pass Public Works Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Check
At least 1 year of experience in a security role
Demonstrated ability to act decisively in high-pressure situations
Strong communication and customer service skills

Nice To Haves

RAIC / Transport Canada Security Clearance
Valid First Aid Level 1 (OFA1)
Advanced Security Training (AST)

Responsibilities

Ensure the protection of individuals, property, and assets within the facility
Escort individuals within the premises as necessary for safety
Demonstrate empathy and compassion while working with individuals under stress
Observe and monitor behaviour and report concerns
Conduct regular foot patrols – both indoors and outdoors
Utilize security software and equipment effectively
Conduct frequent wellness checks
Generate accurate incident and daily reports
Respond swiftly to emergency situations using tactical de-escalation techniques
