About The Position

Linchpin Solutions is seeking a dynamic and experienced Tactical Data Link Instructor to serve as the Joint Staff proponent for the Joint Tactical Operations (JTO) Interface Training Program. The objective is to ensure operational forces can fully utilize JTO Interface Systems. This role involves planning, developing, coordinating, and managing the JTO training program, including courseware development, formal academic training worldwide, and joint exercise support for joint, allied, and coalition air and ground forces. The instructor will annually conduct approximately 30 Joint/U.S. Training Courses (CONUS and OCONUS) with around 2000 graduates, and 30 Allied Training Courses (OCONUS) with approximately 500 graduates for 10 allied nations.

  • Associate Degree or one year of related experience may be substituted for each year of the required education.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain JICO Instructor qualifications if no prior JICO qualifications held.
  • 4 years of Multi TDL experience and training
  • Military instructor experience
  • Capable of worldwide deployment supporting Mobile Training Teams, often under field conditions
  • ISD or curriculum development experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop curriculum, conduct instruction, and maintain JID courses.
  • Liaison with operational Combatant Commander staffs for exercise planning and preparation.
  • Prepare or review OPTASK LINK messages for use in JTO exercises.
  • Assist in selection, modification, or request of Link 16 networks to support JTO exercises.
  • Perform analysis of multi-TDL architecture performance and institute changes based on observations.
  • Coordinate with development and acquisition agencies for procurement of, and evaluate JICO automated tools.
  • Maintain configuration management of the JICO automated tools.
  • Represent JID at joint and combined interoperability working groups.
  • Provide course planning and administration, which includes development and maintenance of schedules, scheduling hands-on field training, student briefs, handouts and administrative documents, and student notification processes.
  • Develop, instruct, revise, and maintain JID course materials.
  • Perform curriculum reviews, courseware development, and multimedia enhancements, especially in an electronic classroom.
  • Support world-wide deployed mobile training team requirements.
