About The Position

FabLogix, part of Kelso Industries, is seeking Tackers to support pipe fabrication by preparing and tacking components for final welding. The role helps ensure proper fit-up, alignment, and readiness for welders, while meeting safety, quality, and production standards. Work is based in a modern fabrication facility in Duncan, South Carolina, on the first shift, with no travel. The position supports ongoing fabrication projects and offers opportunities for growth and skill development.

Requirements

• Prior pipe shop or field tacking experience.
• Must pass a 2-inch monster coupon test in the 6G position.
• Ability to perform root and fill to flush.
• Basic understanding of pipe fit-up and fabrication.
• Ability to work in a shop environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with pipe fitters and welders.
• Familiarity with fabrication shop operations.
• Ability to read basic drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform tack welding on pipe and fittings.
• Assist pipe fitters with layout and preparation.
• Ensure proper alignment and fit-up before welding.
• Complete root and fill to flush on required tests and production work.
• Read basic drawings and follow assembly instructions.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Follow safety procedures and personal protective equipment requirements.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Assist other departments as needed to support production flow.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and efficiency efforts.
• Perform basic equipment and tool inspections.
• Support production deadlines and workflow demands.
• Work closely with fitters and welders to support efficient production flow.
• Promote a safety-first and team-oriented environment.
