About The Position

Blythe Development, a licensed general contractor specializing in site work, road construction, and golf course construction, is seeking a Tack Truck Driver. This role operates a CDL-regulated vehicle to apply specialized emulsions and/or liquid AC to roadways. The company is 100% Employee Owned and has been in operation since 1989, employing over 900 people. Blythe Development self-performs 80% of its site groundwork, offering greater control over projects.

Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry 50+ lbs.
• Valid Class A or B CDL and driving record within MVR policy guidelines.
• Valid tanker endorsement on CDL.
• Current Medical Examiners Certificate (FMCSR part 391.41).

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with the safe and efficient operation of paving equipment, including but not limited to tack truck.
• Knowledge of all USDOT and FMCSA regulations.
• Tack truck experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate a CDL-regulated vehicle that applies specialized emulsions and/or liquid AC to roadways.
• Perform daily safety checks of fluid levels for leaks and damage to equipment prior to operation, notifying foreman of any concerns.
• Understand and execute paving procedures while following instructions to meet the standards of the project.
• Understand and execute different emulsions and/or liquid AC.
• Flexibility with schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes.
