Tableau Next Developer - Senior/Lead
About The Position
Salesforce is seeking a Tableau Next Developer, Senior/Lead, to join the CCO Product Strategy team. This newly formed, fast-growing group operates at the intersection of product, data, and strategy, and is building its data capability from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to join at the foundational stage and influence how the team leverages data to drive customer success outcomes across the Salesforce ecosystem. The team's technology stack includes Tableau Next, Snowflake, and Salesforce Data Cloud, with a mission to create the gold standard for data products that support CCO and Customer Success strategy. The role will contribute to building a predictive P&L engine that replaces static spreadsheet analysis with customer-level P&L management.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Tableau Next (not just classic Tableau), or the ability to quickly ramp up if experienced with classic Tableau.
- Experience designing and implementing RLS or another access-controlled dashboard model.
- Proficiency in writing SQL against Snowflake-backed sources to validate dashboard data.
- Comfort working in ambiguous, 0-to-1 environments and contributing to building a data foundation from scratch.
- Detail-oriented approach to ensure all dashboards have RLS/access controls set and metric definitions in the catalog before going live.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud or Salesforce CRM Analytics.
- Experience with Pulse or anomaly-alerting configuration.
- Familiarity with dbt or semantic-layer concepts.
- Experience with MCP-ready or agentic dashboard/Slack workflows.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end process of building dashboards and agentic experiences in Tableau Next, from wireframing to live deployment, starting with an MVP dashboard and progressing through subsequent releases.
- Design and implement the row-level security (RLS) and access model within Tableau Next to ensure appropriate data visibility for stakeholders.
- Configure Pulse anomaly alerts on key business metrics for top accounts.
- Migrate existing Tableau dashboards to Tableau Next to support the agentic and Slack-workflow layer built upon them.
