About The Position

This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining interactive Tableau dashboards and reports. The developer will collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into effective data visualizations, support Engineering Excellence initiatives through analytics and performance reporting, and ensure data accuracy and integrity. The position involves developing and optimizing SQL queries, implementing best practices for dashboard design, and creating data models and extracts. The developer will provide actionable insights, partner with various teams to deliver reporting solutions, and automate recurring reports.

Requirements

• 6–8+ years of experience in Tableau development and data visualization.
• Strong expertise in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Prep.
• Advanced SQL development and data manipulation skills.
• Experience building enterprise-scale dashboards and analytics solutions.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with Elevance Health or within the Healthcare domain.
• Experience with Power BI, Python, or R.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience developing engineering metrics, KPI dashboards, and performance reports.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and reports.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into effective data visualizations.
• Support Engineering Excellence initiatives through analytics and performance reporting.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across dashboards and reports.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
• Implement best practices for dashboard design, usability, scalability, and performance.
• Create and manage data models, extracts, and performance optimization strategies.
• Provide actionable insights through data analysis and visualization.
• Partner with Engineering, PMO, and Business teams to deliver reporting solutions.
• Automate recurring reports and manage scheduled reporting cycles.
