Tableau Developer
About The Position
We are seeking a skilled Tableau Developer with strong expertise in Tableau Desktop, Server, and Cloud. The role involves developing interactive dashboards, reports, visualizations, calculated fields, parameters, and filters. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL, data modeling, ETL, and cloud database knowledge, along with experience in data integration, cleansing, blending, and validation. Expertise in dashboard performance optimization and troubleshooting is crucial. Knowledge of Tableau administration, security, permissions, scheduling, and deployments is also required. This is a 6+ month contract position located in Charlotte, NC, requiring local candidates for an onsite role.
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Hands-on software development experience with Big Data & Analytics solutions.
- Experience with GCP Cloud technologies: Big Query, Airflow, DataProc, PubSub.
- Experience with Hadoop Hive, Spark, Python, and shell scripting.
- Strong experience in designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines for large-scale data processing, transformation, and analysis using Big Data and GCP technologies.
- Proficiency in SQL and database systems, with experience in designing and optimizing data models for performance and scalability.
- Design and development experience with Git.
- Knowledge of distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms & relational databases.
- Strong Object-Oriented Programming skills and design patterns.
- Experience with CICD pipelines and automated test frameworks.
- Experience with source code management tools (XLR, Jenkins, Git).
- Good knowledge and experience with configuration management tools like GitHub.
- Strong expertise in Tableau Desktop, Server, and Cloud.

Responsibilities
- Develop interactive dashboards, reports, visualizations, calculated fields, parameters, and filters using Tableau.
- Optimize dashboard performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Perform data integration, cleansing, blending, and validation.
- Apply strong SQL, data modeling, ETL, and cloud database knowledge.
- Utilize knowledge of Tableau administration, security, permissions, scheduling, and deployments.
- Provide engineering expertise for developing features for Banking, including Financial Crimes and Anti-money Laundering platforms.
- Improve engineering practices, driving resilience, predictability, and end-to-end efficiency through automation.
- Partner with product teams to envision and deliver solutions that transform Financial Crimes Compliance using technology.
- Analyze complex data engineering problems, propose effective solutions, and implement them.
- Learn, adopt, and build solutions using established Enterprise frameworks for Big Data.
- Proactively seek continuous improvement opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with product and cross-functional teams.
- Learn and leverage new technologies to their optimal potential.
- Understand various SDLC methodologies, including Agile & Scrum ceremonies.
