About The Position

This role involves monitoring table game activity to ensure game integrity, recording player statistics, and ensuring proper payouts. The position requires both supervisory and dealing responsibilities within the table games and poker areas of the casino.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Proficient in English verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of casino rules, procedures, and regulations as related to Poker/Table Games required.
  • Knowledge of game and dealing techniques required.
  • Must qualify for, obtain, and maintain a gaming license from the Indiana Gaming Commission.
  • Visually acuity-distinguish colors, shapes etc.
  • Ability to have professional interactions with guests.
  • The Ability to visually monitor multiple tables simultaneously.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and push objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, reach, twist, and stretch repeatedly.
  • Must be able to tolerate exposure to bright/flashing lights.
  • Ability to tolerate fast-paced, high pressure environment.
  • Must be able to work from a seated/standing/walking position for extended periods.
  • Must be able to tolerate large crowds/high traffic.
  • Ability to tolerate temperature variations.
  • Must be able to communicate in a loud environment.
  • Ability to work in a smoking and noisy environment.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One (1) to two (2) years supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors all games in assigned pit, with a maximum of six tables.
  • Opens and closes table games in assigned area, verifying counts.
  • Inspects card decks prior to play.
  • Tracks and records player buy-ins, wins, losses, and bet amounts.
  • Monitors bets and payouts and corrects as needed.
  • Completes rating cards for players.
  • Initiates and verifies fills to tables.
  • Processes player requests for credit and extends to guests upon approval.
  • Investigates and resolves guest complaints or concerns.
  • Provides complimentary items to guests as requested.
  • Deals Table games and/or Poker games, pays out winnings, exchanges currency for chips, and informs guests of game rules.
  • Changes over decks of cards or dice, inspects and mixes cards.
  • Verifies bankroll fills with the supervisor and security personnel.
  • Ensures protection of the game, maintains continuous inspection of cards or dice, and ensures betting compliance.
  • Sorts cards, balances rack, counts chips, and signs off when closing a game.
  • Assists guests with questions on casino activities or refers to appropriate personnel.
