About The Position

This is a 9-week training course designed to develop the skillsets necessary for dealing Table Games including Blackjack, Ultimate Texas Hold 'EM, Three Card Poker, Roulette, and Craps. Selected applicants will be hired and required to attend the full 9 weeks of class. Each student will be required to pass physical and written skills tests for each module of the class, with two attempts allowed per test. Failure to pass may result in reevaluation of class participation. Upon successful completion, applicants will be able to select/bid from available dealer schedules. Applicants must attend every class and conduct themselves in a professional manner. The training pay is $10.00 per hour while in training, transitioning to $8/hour plus tips (averaging $30.26/hour) once on the gaming floor. The primary tasks of a Table Games Dealer include serving and entertaining guests while enforcing rules and maintaining game integrity, analyzing customer play, protecting against cheating, reviewing table game activities with supervisors, answering guest inquiries, cleaning the work area, verifying customer identification, signing paperwork, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Serve and entertain Guests while enforcing the rules and maintaining the integrity of the game.
  • Analyze customer play, protecting against cheating scams, and unusual or suspicious variations of play.
  • Review and communicate table game activities with supervisors and managers.
  • Answer Guest inquiries regarding general gaming procedures, payouts, etc.
  • Clean work area as designated by management.
  • Verify identification of customers when needed.
  • Sign and date all paperwork as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service skills and communication skills.
  • Participate in an intensive training program covering multiple table games (e.g. Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat, Poker, and Craps).
  • Learn and demonstrate proper dealing techniques, games rules, and house procedures.
  • Understand casino ethics, responsible gaming practices and customer interaction skills.
  • Attend regular training sessions and workshops to enhance your gaming knowledge.
  • Engage with guest, trainees, trainers while encouraging a welcoming environment.
  • Maintain knowledge of gaming regulations and compliance protocols.
  • Prepare for and participate in scheduled assessments and evaluations.
  • Undergo a structured training program that includes a training phase (12 to 15 weeks), a mid-program assessment with a practical skills evaluation and testing, and a final evaluation involving a practical dealing test (audition) before a panel of experienced peers within the table games department.
