About The Position

The incumbent in this position must successfully complete a math assessment test, a pre-screen interview, as well as an 8 week training course. Immediately following the training course, the incumbent must also pass an audition prior to a dealer position being offered by Grand Victoria Casino Table Games Department. Ideal candidate will be an energetic individual that is also personable, professional, and possesses an outgoing personality. Candidate must pass class to qualify as a transfer to Table Games Dealer position.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must have effective communication skills.
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical functions and pass math assessment.
  • Ability to be physically mobile, and stand/walk for 8 to 12-hour shifts.
  • Excellent guest service and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in areas containing dust, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds and air quality.
  • Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Always display a high level of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Capacity to work well with others and handle stressful situations with ease.
  • Possess effective learning skills.
  • Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period.
  • Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully complete a math assessment test.
  • Successfully complete a pre-screen interview.
  • Successfully complete an 8-week training course.
  • Pass an audition following the training course.
  • Maintain an active Illinois Gaming License.
  • Attend 90% of training classes.
  • Be physically mobile, and stand/walk for 8 to 12-hour shifts.
  • Work in areas containing dust, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds and air quality.
  • Present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period.
