About The Position

Operators are responsible for handling units in a controlled manner. Finished sheets are moved from the takeoff lines to the transfer cart then placed on machine feed lines. Help move W.I.P sheets from storage area “A” to storage area “B” by way of the middle aisle transfer cart. W.I.P sheets are moved from takeoff lines to transfer cart and then placed in the W.I.P. storage area.

Requirements

• Handle units in a controlled manner.
• Move finished sheets from takeoff lines to transfer cart and then place on machine feed lines.
• Move W.I.P sheets from storage area A to storage area B via the middle aisle transfer cart.
• Move W.I.P sheets from takeoff lines to transfer cart and then place in W.I.P. storage area.
• Check the corrugator run sheet.
• Call in deviations from the schedule and change on the Corr Plan Master Schedule.
• Relay messages to proper personnel.
• Turn in maintenance work orders.
• Be proactive in equipment maintenance.
• Adhere to the production schedule.
• Count and verify unit and inch counts.
• Ensure proper load tags are in each unit.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Ensure and check the corrugator run sheet provided by the Scheduling department.
• Any deviation from the schedule will be called in and changed on the Corr Plan Master Schedule
• Relay messages to proper personnel promptly regarding necessary adjustments.
• Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs. Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment.
• Adhere to the production schedule.
• Count and verify unit and inch counts of units.
• Ensure proper load tags are in each unit.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
• Additional duties may be assigned by management.
