About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented System Test Leader to drive verification, integration, validation, and test automation activities for Schneider Electric's Data Center solutions. The role will lead testing efforts across mission-critical power infrastructure with attention to power distribution and protection. Working closely with cross-functional R&D teams, the Test Leader will ensure solutions meet customer expectations for safety, reliability, interoperability, cybersecurity, scalability, and availability in Data Center environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ experience in test leadership across one or more system projects, specifically within an R&D environment.
  • Specific experience in datacenter solution test environments
  • Strong experience in test strategies, preferably at solution levels.
  • Strong experience in test planning, scheduling, and task estimation.
  • Proven ability to lead go/no-go decision-based on test results and system performance.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and root cause analysis to quickly identify system issues.
  • In-depth knowledge of testing methodologies, including Regression, Functional, Performance, Black Box, White Box, and Integration testing.
  • Experience with mentoring test engineers to increase baseline testing fundamentals and best practice.
  • Ability to technically architect and test plans, test cases, automation sequences, and requirements using test management tools.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills, with a focus on driving quality improvements.
  • Experience testing complex integrated systems involving hardware, firmware, software, networking, and communications technologies.
  • Strong understanding of requirements traceability, risk-based testing, and system validation methodologies.
  • Experience leading testing activities across multiple engineering disciplines and geographically distributed teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Data Center infrastructure solutions, including transfer switches, power distribution equipment, switchgear, UPS systems, rack power distribution, cooling infrastructure, or related mission-critical systems.
  • Experience validating communication protocols such as Modbus TCP/IP, SNMP, BACnet, IEC 61850, OPC UA, MQTT, REST APIs, and Ethernet/IP.
  • Knowledge of Data Center architectures, power distribution topologies, and critical facility operations.
  • Experience testing cloud-connected, IoT-enabled, or Edge management solutions.
  • Experience with cybersecurity testing or secure product development practices.
  • Familiarity with Data Center industry standards and certifications.
  • Experience with Jira, Jama, Confluence, GitHub, Jenkins, and automated test frameworks.
  • Knowledge of power systems, critical power, microgrids, or industrial automation solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a transversal role across Data Center R&D projects to define and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans, and frameworks that ensure thorough verification, integration, validation, and interoperability of Data Center power and digital infrastructure solutions.
  • Review user requirements, use cases, and system specifications to fully understand project details and align test coverage with product expectations.
  • Define and execute reliability, resiliency, failover, performance, and scalability testing for mission-critical Data Center applications.
  • Coordinate system integration testing across hardware, firmware, software, networking, and cloud technologies.
  • Support cybersecurity validation activities and ensure compliance with secure development and deployment requirements.
  • Evaluate solution readiness for customer deployments and provide go/no-go recommendations.
  • Guide and mentor test engineers within project teams to ensure strong test fundamentals, drive best practices, continuous improvement, and technical innovation.
  • Lead go/no-go release decisions by assessing test results, coverage, and system stability.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine testing processes and procedures to maintain the highest quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing needs, improving overall test coverage and product reliability.
  • Provide test status reporting, including progress, coverage, and key quality metrics, to stakeholders.
