About The Position

I2X Technologies is seeking a Systems Test Engineer to support ongoing customer activities in Longmont, Colorado. The position is on-site and requires an active TS/SCI clearance. The engineer plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for integrating and testing in-house-developed and COTS/GOTS components, subsystems, and systems. The role translates contractual needs into test solutions that account for technical, schedule, and cost constraints; establishes functional and technical specifications; resolves hardware-software interface issues; and defines input/output parameters for system integration. The position develops and executes test plans, procedures, and schedules; coordinates subsystem and system testing; and works across complex systems of systems to identify workarounds and defects and integrate components. It also includes documenting procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps; training others informally; maintaining systems in a customer-owned facility; facilitating communication between operations and engineering; providing metrics for management status briefings; and participating in software version testing and evaluation. Occasional support for 24/7 test events or after-hours operational anomalies may be required.

  • Typically, an advanced degree and 3 or more years of experience, a bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of experience, or equivalent.
  • Experience in integration and test and/or system- or subsystem-level verification.
  • Experience with the space domain, including satellite ground systems and orbital platforms.
  • Exposure to Linux, virtualized environments such as virtual machines and containers, and hardware/software interfaces.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering practices, including requirements and requirements decomposition, and systems engineering tools such as DOORS and Cameo.
  • Experience with Agile methodology.
  • Strong technical writing skills and ability to build relationships and work collaboratively.
  • Ability to learn and troubleshoot complex systems.
