About The Position

Amentum Space Exploration Division is seeking a Systems Test and Avionics Data Analysis Engineer to support Space Launch System (SLS) integrated avionics verification. The engineer will develop expertise in flight avionics requirements, system behavior, and verification methods, and will plan and conduct testing and post-test analysis for integrated avionics systems and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) simulation environments. The role includes evaluating results for requirements compliance, investigating anomalies, assessing system performance, and correlating test results with analytical assessments. The engineer will contribute to requirements development, verification strategies, and Detailed Verification Objectives (DVOs); maintain and improve test and analysis procedures and methodologies; and coordinate with Systems Engineering, Software Development, Test, and Electrical Integration teams. Technical work includes designing, executing, troubleshooting, and debugging system-level verification activities, as well as developing automation, analysis tools, and verification software using languages such as Python, XML, or C. The role operates in Linux-based development and test environments. This is an office-environment position requiring clear communication, professional interaction, and extended computer use. Domestic U.S. travel is required (5%). The normal workday is 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with minimal overtime potentially needed to meet milestones and technical demands. The position requires U.S. citizenship and a STAR ID.
