We are looking for a System Support Specialist at our facility in Groveport, Ohio. This person will maintain the information technology infrastructure including, but not limited to internal network, workstation, peripherals and servers for the Plant location. Responsible for supporting local operations on all IT issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, or two to four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be proficient with printer drivers in both 32- and 64-bit versions.
  • Must be familiar with latest versions of Exchange.
  • Must be familiar with VM Ware and SAN Technology.
  • Must be familiar with wireless networks and devices including handheld devices.
  • Must be familiar with Network troubleshooting and diagnostics.
  • Knowledge of current MS SQL Server versions.
  • Excellent time management and task prioritization abilities.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated learner.
  • Ability to quickly become an expert.
  • Aptitude for technology.
  • Possess solid logic, writing and language skills.
  • Be detailed and organized.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Microsoft products preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Train, troubleshoot and provide user support for Windows network of approximately 250 + workstations, peripherals and mobile devices.
  • Provide user training and assistance for all supported applications.
  • Aid in development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, maintain current knowledge of plan executable, and respond to crises in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Add/Delete/Modify user rights.
  • Create and maintain documentation of all IT related processes.
  • Assist in maintaining the company VOIP phone system.
  • Assist in preparing, maintaining, and upholding procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring PC performance.
  • Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future computer hardware needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hardware and equipment contracts and supervise contract-based installations.
  • Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex PC problems for a variety of end users, and recommend and implement corrective hardware solutions, including off-site repair as needed.
  • Work with Managed Services company to ensure all trouble tickets are handled in a timely manner and follow the approved technical workflow.
  • Maintain cell phone and other mobile device program.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
