About The Position

The purpose of the Systems Support Specialist II is to manage and maintain all endpoint equipment of the Food Bank’s information systems, to assist with network management, and to provide front line assistance to users of Food Bank technology solutions. The Systems Support Specialist II reports to Manger of IT Services.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated Ability in Network Switching /Routing.
  • Experience administering Active Directory and configuring endpoints and printers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Demonstrated basic knowledge of audio-visual equipment support.
  • Familiarity with Office 365 Suite, and other common software applications.
  • Strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering desk support by managing ticket triage, resolving end-user issues, maintaining accurate ticket records, and meeting established service level objectives.
  • Collaborate with vendors, software providers, and third-party consulting services.
  • Maintain current inventory of equipment and manage proper disposal of retired equipment.
  • Support printer and copier fleet, including network configuration, connectivity, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform hands-on workstation maintenance and repairs, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Set up audio-visual equipment for staff meetings & external events, ensuring equipment is ready in advance.
  • Provide system administration support within Active Directory (users and computers), email systems, phone systems, physical access systems, and audio/video systems.
  • Manage hardware and software lifecycles, including provisioning, deployment, maintenance, and retirement of devices, and coordinate backup services with the MSP.
  • Install and monitor endpoint security solutions including antivirus protection, network access control, full disk encryption, web hosting, and patch management to ensure all devices remain current and secure.
  • Administer user and device identities across Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, MDM, and Intune, including permissions management, group policy enforcement, and printer and network share mapping.
  • Conduct IT systems and security orientation for new staff.
  • Deliver training on core computer operations.
  • Provide printer and copier training as needed.
  • Assist IT team members in delivering departmental training initiatives.
