About The Position

As a systems security and network security engineer, you can identify the tools, configurations, devices, and applications needed to assess vulnerabilities and recommend the best solution and security strategy. We need your experience to develop and implement security solutions that will safeguard mission-critical systems from cyber threats, ensuring they can operate securely and confidently in contested environments across all domains. On our team, you’ll troubleshoot and analyze complex challenges for customers using your knowledge of communications architectures, network and security devices, and applications. You’ll use your curiosity for technology and market trends to further research and develop security solutions. Using your experience in unmanned systems, you’ll help assess security threats and implement infrastructure controls. In this role, you’ll closely impact unmanned operations in the Navy and Marine Corps by enhancing and securing warfighter systems. With mentoring, challenging hands-on problem-solving, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, we focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers. Requirements

  • Experience with vulnerability scanning and remediation
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and DoN policy, including NIST and RMF
  • Ability to interpret scan results and apply remediations
  • Secret clearance
  • Associate's degree in Cybersecurity, CS, or IT
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cybersecurity assessments of weapons and unmanned systems, including ACAS, Nessus, and STIG or SCAP
  • Knowledge of unmanned systems communication protocols, including IP networking and RF links
  • Ability to influence system-of-system architecture for cyber compliance
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, CS, or a related technical field
  • ISC2 CISSP, CEH, and OSCP Certifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships quickly and easily with other teams, communicating the complexities of security with a wide variety of audiences, including senior management.
  • Implement infrastructure and cybersecurity controls, including enhanced detection and vulnerability capabilities and improved event correlation.
  • Perform risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas.
  • Leverage big data analytics and traditional security event types to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise.
