About The Position

As a member of our elite Systems Security Engineering (SSE) team, we want you to develop solutions to protect the Warfighter’s technology advantage. Systems Security Engineering creates holistic security solutions leveraging Cyber Security, Software Assurance, and Supply Chain Risk Management to support Program Protection Implementation on embedded weapons systems. Work with a team of talented engineers to develop new software and system technologies. Apply knowledge of the software development process and security policies as a contributor to the design of software and system solutions. Responsible for executing tasks that support the development of software and systems engineering projects. Participate in the development and implementation of systems security solutions. Perform hands-on technical implementation of security solutions comprised of COTS & FOSS technology as well as custom-developed products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
  • Applied engineering experience or coursework with exposure in one or more of the following domains: Systems Engineering, Software or Firmware development, Systems Integration and/or Test, ASIC development, Cybersecurity, System Security, Digital Electronics design or similar work history.
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1.

  • Specific majors: Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physics, Math, Engineering Science, Robotics, or related scientific or STEM discipline
  • Past work experience (professional or academic) interacting with multidisciplinary teams of system design professionals including electrical, mechanical, software and logistics engineers
  • Ability to perform trade studies to optimize system performance
  • Development cybersecurity requirements, design and architecture artifacts, plans, and policies
  • Defining security development and test efforts implementation of security controls of networking devices, databases, operating systems, and hardware and software component
  • Integrating cybersecurity development activities
  • Perform analysis on cybersecurity collected data and test results
  • Conduct technical and nontechnical trade studies
  • Utilize DoD approved scanning and assessment tools such as ACAS, STIG, SCAP Compliance Checker, and HBSS
  • Apply written and oral communication skills
