About The Position
PGS Worldwide is seeking a Systems Safety Engineer for a fully remote one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. In this role, you will conduct engineering and technical safety analyses and document findings for safety and investigative reporting. You will also review problem reports for safety impact and support customer-facing meetings as well as System Safety Technical Review Panel (SSTRP) activities.
Requirements
- Experience performing System Safety Hazard Analysis Reports (SSHAR)
- Experience developing Safety Assessment Reports (SAR)
- Experience using Hazard Tracking System (HTS)
- Experience conducting Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA)
- Experience performing safety analysis in accordance with MIL-STD-882E
- Ability to conduct engineering and technical analyses
- Experience documenting findings for safety and investigative reports
- Ability to review problem reports and assess safety impact
- Experience supporting customer-facing meetings
- Experience supporting SSTRP activities
Responsibilities
- Perform SSHAR, SAR, HTS, and FHA analyses in accordance with MIL-STD-882E
- Conduct engineering and technical safety analyses
- Document findings for safety and investigative reports
- Review problem reports and evaluate potential safety impacts
- Support customer-facing meetings and technical discussions
- Support System Safety Technical Review Panel (SSTRP) activities
