About The Position

The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is an organization of approximately 2,000 personnel of which 700 serve at HQ and the remaining staff serve at offices worldwide. NCIS is the DON component with primary responsibility for criminal investigation, law enforcement (LE), counter-terrorism (CT), counterintelligence (CI), and cyber matters. NCIS not only has primary responsibility for all criminal investigative, CI, CT, and cyber matters within the DON, but it also has exclusive investigative jurisdiction in non-combat matters involving actual, potential, or suspected criminal, terrorism, sabotage, espionage, and subversive activities. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a System Integrator the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the NCIS ITD organization in Quantico, VA. Integrated experience in working with various Microsoft based applications and services to include Active Directory, DNS, SQL Server, Exchange 2016 & 2019, Windows Server 2019/2022, Windows Server Update Services, etc. Daily operational experience with VMware vCenter for virtual machine management Supports enterprise storage capacity planning and remediation Administer web servers, IIS and Apache Supports admin and user backup and recovery requests along with storage engineer Familiarity with Citrix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure for desktop deployments Implements STIG releases across a variety of operating systems and applications Continual attention to periodic SCAP and STIG requirements Tracks and remediates IAVM vulnerabilities Manages ACAS vulnerability reports and remediates as required Performs software upgrades, patch installs, and firmware upgrades Diagnose and troubleshoot problems related to the OS, hardware, network, and related software Daily written and oral communications with leadership and coworkers Troubleshoot and configure servers in a virtual environment Create scripts in various shells to automate daily and periodic tasks Document work for leadership, update/create Standard Operating Procedures, and brief staff and customers on task.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance. A TS with SCI eligibility is also acceptable.
  • 7+ years in systems administration
  • Requires a firm understanding of technologies, including: MS Active Directory, DNS, GPO MS SQL Server 2019/2022 VMware vSphere 8.x Web Server IIS, Apache
  • Basic network troubleshooting experience for system connectivity
  • DoW system accreditation process
  • STIG checklist review process to include SCAP scans and implementation
  • Group Policy Management administration to include policy creation and maintenance
  • Improving system operations and functionality, monitoring, and optimization of servers and workstations.
  • CompTIA Security+ CE required.
  • BS Degree in technical discipline.
  • US Citizenship required
