About The Position

The Systems Integrator III for SCADA Support and Services is responsible for providing premium and client focused technical support to Ulteig Plant SCADA control systems and clients. The Systems Integrator III will be able to provide technical support for identifying and resolving PLC logic defects/enhancements, break/fix troubleshooting, and remote preventative maintenance assistance. Requirements including client and contractor coordination, logic updates & testing, and frequent client engagement are all day-to-day responsibilities. The Systems Integrator III will ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget. The Systems Integrator III will be coached/mentored by more experienced staff and report to a Technical Manager or Engineering Supervisor in the department.

Requirements

  • Two year technical degree
  • 4-7 years years Industrial Control System, Integration of Robotics Systems, or programming experience in a related field
  • Renewable energy industry exposure – Wind, PV, BESS
  • Function Block and/or structured text programming experience preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency and working knowledge of communication protocols (DNP3, Modbus, etc.) and internet network architectures
  • Effectively uses common, discipline-specific software and helps others use it as well
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines by setting priorities
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal/written communication, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management and clients
  • Gains knowledge by attending technical training sessions or conferences and shares knowledge through technical reports or presenting interesting, relevant topics to the team
  • Able to read and create engineering design drawings, including communication diagrams, logic diagrams, and network schematics
  • Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, SQL, Access)
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Willing to travel 10% of the time
  • Ability to participate in 24/7 on-call rotation
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving standards
  • Must have permanent authorization to work in US
  • Demonstrates openness to innovation by embracing and applying evolving technology and AI tools to enhance workflows, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients in the Renewable Energy industry
  • PLC/HMI/SCADA program development and testing
  • Maintains positive client relationships, responsive both internally and externally, frequent client interaction
  • PLC programming with one or more of the following platforms: Allen Bradley, Schneider, SEL RTAC
  • HMI/SCADA programming with one or more of the following platforms: Ignition, Wonderware, Kepware/Topserver
  • Remote troubleshooting following live system best practices (NERC CIP, ISO, NIST, etc.)
  • Understanding and updating technical documentation (control logic, test procedures, user manuals, etc.)
  • Take ownership of personal and product quality
  • Responsible for completing tasks in allotted time
