About The Position

The Systems Integration Engineer will combine technical skills with big picture thinking to make an impact on national security space missions. This role involves understanding the customer’s environment and developing the right systems for their mission. The ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications is integral to delivering a customer-focused engineering solution. The engineer will work on a top-priority space program, collaborating with Booz Allen colleagues, support contractors, and U.S. Space Force personnel to develop and deploy the next generation of strategic military satellite communications capabilities. The role is an integral part of the engineering branch, assisting the government as the Lead Systems Integrator to ensure the space, ground, and crypto segments are integrated successfully to meet user’s needs. The engineer will provide direct support to the chief engineer and manage the Booz Allen engineering team supporting the program office. Expertise and innovative thinking will be critical to ensuring capabilities are delivered to meet the threat.

Requirements

9+ years of experience performing systems engineering or integration in DoD space systems or ground systems
5+ years of experience with performing the risk management process on space-related Major Defense Acquisition Programs, including space, ground, software, and hardware system
5+ years of experience with identifying, analyzing, and proposing space systems or ground systems program risks, issues, opportunities, and mitigating handling plans
Experience with DoD technical program reviews, including SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, FCA, or PCAs
Experience with using Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ability to be highly motivated, display a dynamic work ethic, and contribute to the DoD mission
Ability to effectively communicate, work collaboratively on a cross functional team and independently, demonstrating initiative to complete complex tasks to achieve program goals in a fast-paced environment
TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science

Ability to learn and solve problems quickly and creatively
Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
