About The Position

The Systems Improvement Supervisor will take the lead on improving Jaydot’s systems from the inside out – from expanding our data collection efforts to advising senior leadership on how to best move forward with the information we have in hand. This person will work closely with Jaydot’s Programs Team to understand how they work and adapt our internal systems to meet their needs, as well as to expand our collection of participant and partner satisfaction data. In short, the Systems Improvement Supervisor will help the team quantify our work – as much as is possible – and use that information to further our collective goal of providing excellent services. The Systems Improvement Supervisor will work in-person within Washington, DC.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s Degree in social work, human services, public administration, or related field strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of designing and maintaining data tracking systems
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets and Google Workspace

  • Takes initiative and exercises independent judgment and ownership of decisions
  • Strong communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, and written)

  • Passion for ending homelessness and centering those with lived experience in that pursuit

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with survey design and collection preferred
  • Experience using client data systems, especially those used within homeless services, preferred
  • Minimum two years experience working with people who have experienced homelessness or other vulnerable populations preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality control and quality improvement strategies across the organization, primarily based on data collection and analysis
  • Develop and directly manage tracking systems that ensure the accurate reporting and recordkeeping across the organization, including internal participant data
  • Expand data collection efforts based on program goals and key performance indicators, in collaboration with the programs team
  • Improve data quality, including potentially identifying new systems to maintain data
  • Train appropriate team members on best practices for data collection and management, ensuring they understand the “why” behind our efforts
  • Design and oversee the collection of participant and partner satisfaction data, in coordination with the Programs teams, with a focus on equity and improving outcomes
  • Analyze data trends and advise senior leadership on strategic next steps for program design and advocacy based on findings
  • As necessary, develop platforms, templates, or other mechanisms for providing performance and outcome related information to external funders and/or partners
  • Quickly aggregate and share data as needed for advocacy or other purposes
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other confidentiality standards for all data containing PII/PHI
