Peraton is seeking an experienced Systems Hardware Engineer to join their national intelligence program in Northern Virginia. This role involves delivering engineering, application development, deployment, operations, upgrades, and sustainment of products and services to achieve the client’s global missions. The engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving the client's server/compute platforms. This includes performing end-to-end network systems engineering, working with vendors, and identifying/maintaining requirements to achieve mission needs. The role also involves performing higher-level network design, creating documentation for procurement (PSC, BOM, BER), and designing complex network core cabling integration and infrastructure cabling. The engineer will lead integration efforts for various equipment vendors, perform quality assurance on systems procurement, and establish processes for managing changes to requirements and system baselines. Additionally, the role includes developing scenarios and operational concepts, coordinating system integration activities, providing technical planning and analyses, researching new technologies, and staying updated on component lifecycles. Responsibilities also extend to receiving and reviewing vendor quotes, creating documentation for vendors, reviewing drawing packages, updating build cable run lists, and creating/reviewing Cable BOMs. The engineer will also develop, implement, and maintain processes, procedures, test cases, and documentation.
