About The Position

This position is for a Sr Principal Systems Engineer to support the IFICS Data Terminal (IDT) product team on the Ground Based Mid-Course Defense (GMD) Weapon System (GWS) program. The candidate should have experience taking on progressively challenging responsibilities, demonstrating initiative, and driving innovative solutions. They should be recognized as a self-starter with a proven ability to lead teams, learn quickly, and deliver results in dynamic environments. This is not a telework/remote position.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 5 years of related experience.
Strong prior experience with use of MSOSA (Cameo) and DOORS (Requirements decomposition).
Strong technical background in architecture development, functional decomposition, requirements development and allocation, and interface definition with system-modeling tools.
Strong background in MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineering) and the use of SysML to describe behaviors of a complex DoD system.
Capable of working both independently and within a small team environment.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to support business needs.
Current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance at the time of application which is required to start.

Nice To Haves

Demonstrated experience modeling or simulating missile defense applications or similar domains (air combat, air defense, intercept of ballistic targets, intercept of non-ballistic targets, space vehicles, sub-orbital mechanics, etc.).
Systems modeling and analysis experience in aspects of the missile defense system (e.g., Aegis Weapons Systems, Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD), Glide Phase Intercept (GPI), Hypersonic and Ballistic Tracking Space Sensor (HBTSS), Fire Control, C2BMC, MDS sensors (EO/IR/RF), kill vehicles, interceptors, countermeasures, etc.).
Systems engineering experience with large, complex systems.

Responsibilities
