We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer supporting one of our premier programs within the Space Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (SISR) business unit. In this role, your experience with requirements, architecture and design elaboration, systems engineering analysis, script development, interface definition and control, and verification and validation will be put to good use. The work is on-site in Aurora, CO.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience supporting the systems engineering lifecycle, roles, and functions, with specific experience in one or more of the following areas: Concept of Operations (ConOps) development, requirements definition and management, functional analysis, or interface definition and control
  • Experience supporting a government contract in a systems engineering role
  • Experience supporting a project domain such as mission management ground systems or space-based Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) platforms
  • Experience with Agile principles, including Agile systems engineering practices and an understanding of Agile roles and responsibilities
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.​ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance​
  • TS/SCI without Polygraph security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in an Agile development environment and with Agile development tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, or similar platforms
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler
  • Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS or other requirements databases
  • Experience supporting systems integration, test, verification, and validation activities

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and define system behavior by developing use cases and supporting system-level analysis
  • Decompose requirements, define system interfaces, and help determine how requirements will be validated and verified by the test team
  • Provide engineering support for execution of the program’s test activities, including test processes, baseline definition, and test architecture design
  • Support regression testing across deliverable releases to the program baseline
  • Support and participate in technical reviews and technical interchange meetings in support of the program
