GDIT is looking for an Systems Engineering Sr Manager to serve as the program's O&M Support Services Lead under the guidance of the Program Manager for a large, complex task order and working proactively, collaboratively, and with an entrepreneurial spirit in providing O&M support to the customer and their Stakeholder communities in achieving their critical missions. The O&M Support Services Lead is responsible for overall management of GDIT's O&M services and support to the on-premises IDENT enterprise, as well as the OCS and HART environments hosted in AWS GovCloud, ensuring that client-stakeholder service level agreements and contractual service level objectives are met or exceeded, performing enterprise-wide horizontal integration of multi-disciplinary services, supporting interfaces with other functional and/or stakeholder systems, problem tracking and management, working cooperatively with GDIT task and line of service managers and the DHS customer to ensure that administrative, operational, and technical best practices are in place and that there are no lapses in services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Expertise with large scale, enterprise IT O&M, technologies, and programs, hosted in both data center and cloud environments (e.g., enterprise system management and monitoring, service delivery, service desk, software and hardware modernization, development, and testing efforts)
  • Expertise in infrastructure, networking, database, application and system security, web technologies, and cloud services
  • Expertise in infrastructure and application management best practices and tools
  • Currency with latest techniques in automated discovery, automated code scanning, automated testing, continuous integration and continuous deployment concepts
  • Experience implementing and configuring DevOps solutions
  • Public Trust (DHS HQ EOD required to start; must be able to obtain DHS HQ Final Suitability)
  • US citizenship required
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to articulate complex architectures to non-technical audiences
  • Strong, proven leadership experience

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in computer engineering, computer science, information systems, systems engineering, or related field of study
  • 15+ yrs of professional experience in systems, computer, and/or network engineering supporting large-scale enterprise IT systems
  • Professional experience in enterprise IT architecture, systems engineering, systems administration, systems/applications analysis, configuration management, and/or project management
  • Experience implementing and configuring DevOps solutions
  • Currency with latest techniques in automated code scanning, automated testing, continuous integration and continuous deployment concepts
  • Experience with biometric technologies and programs

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise systems management, service delivery operations (24/7), infrastructure support (Level 2 and Storage, Back-Up, and Restore Services), database support, performance monitoring and reporting, and service request management (24/7)
  • Lead service delivery innovation and continuous improvements to O&M performance
  • Support production and non-production applications and technical support
  • Serve as key technical expert across multiple areas of expertise (e.g., computer networks, hardware, and software, including interconnection and interfaces, as well as common cloud services)
  • Supervise several large subordinate multi-discipline teams
  • Identify, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies
  • Develop and recommend corrective actions
