This group of diverse Engineers has a long history of supporting the Air Force Mission reaching back to the 1960's. Today's challenge is to support the modernization of the Minuteman Weapon System by crafting, building, testing and deploying new Reentry Systems and Ground Equipment that will enable the new system to perform for many years to come. This critical mission area must be done right, pass meticulous certifications and last for many years to come. If this challenge is for you, you belong in AFSP. As a Systems Engineer for the Sentinel program you will directly help establish the technical solution and overall system design for one of our country's most vital and sophisticated strategic Systems! As the Systems Engineer Lead for Requirements and Verification, you will: Establish system architecture and CONOPS, perform system level design and decomposition into requirements Lead a team of systems engineers through requirements, verification and modeling and coordinate schedule status with control account manager Perform system analysis and interface definition and management/ execution using digital transformation tool suite Perform system requirements verification rationale development and tracking Lead and coordinate design reviews and technical product reviews

Requirements

  • Significant experience in Systems Engineering or related engineering field, with detailed knowledge of Systems Engineering concepts and processes over the development and verification phases of a product lifecycle
  • Identifying, decomposing, allocating and verifying/validating requirements
  • Participating in Systems Engineering reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR)
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Proficiency with Requirements development and management processes, principles, and tools (DOORS), including functional analysis, allocation, and verification
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Systems Engineering, INCOSE Certification, or relevant Graduate Certificate or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or disciplines outside of Systems Engineering
  • Coordinating with multiple key partners
  • Experience with US Air Force Weapon Systems Programs
  • Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very complex problems and implement constructive change
  • Ability to mentor, train and empower a technical team
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a high-demand, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to build strong relationships with program internal and external customers, lead multi-functional teams and build consensus among peers
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members
  • Active Top Secret Clearance
