About The Position

As a Systems Engineering intern at Raytheon, you will work as a contributor to integrate hardware and software, develop test plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, and verify system requirements in support of final sell-off to the customer. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. Every day is a different set of challenges to overcome. You'll be expected to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and partner to implement solutions. In this role, you will support elements of program development, engineering testing, integration, field testing, production, system deployment, and/or post deployment support across the product lifecycle. You will get to know a little bit about every aspect of the system and have a direct hand in making it all work together supporting teams of engineers engaged in integration and test efforts.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering Or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship session.
  • Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship session.
  • Experience with data analysis using tools such as Microsoft Office, Python, MATLAB and/or C++
  • Experience with troubleshooting technical issues in an academic or internship setting, including the use of common commercial test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.)
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Prior RTX internship, Co-op, or work experience.
  • Experience with tools for instrumentation and collection of large data sets, data analysis and automation
  • Ability to analyze issues and define solutions
  • Strong communication skills including effective written, verbal, and listening skills
  • Proven strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
