About The Position

The General Dynamics Mission Systems, Space Force MUOS team, has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineering Integration & Test Lead. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience; or Master's degree, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Department of Defense SECRET security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a SECRET clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Success leading the systems development life cycle with strong proficiency with requirements management and system modeling tools

Responsibilities

  • Plans the technical approach, resources, schedule, budget, and equipment required for testing and evaluating new systems, products and special devices
  • Leads the test approach and document system verification throughout the engineering development lifecycle
  • Generates system test work products by applying the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools
  • Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products
  • Leads the development and coordinates functional, environmental, operational, and/or performance tests on hardware, software, and systems
  • Leads the design, development, and implementation of cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and systems for all phases of product development and manufacturing
  • Leads and manage employees
  • Leads small technical proposals and contribute to medium sized proposals
  • Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments
  • Manages and ensures the successful completion of major programs and projects
  • Works on advanced applications that may result in new business for the company
  • Frequent, effective contact with staff of all levels across the company
  • Serves as consultant to management and customers on projects and major initiatives
  • Travel may be required
