About The Position

As a Software Engineer at Salesforce, you'll join a dynamic global team responsible for delivering and supporting the technology infrastructure that powers our business growth. You'll lead projects to optimize current services and build next-generation software for our global production environments, collaborating closely with Engineering and Development teams to keep services operational, streamlined, and scalable.

Requirements

Advanced proficiency in Python, Go, and Terraform.
Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), Kubernetes, and Karpenter.
Strong knowledge of database operations (Oracle preferred) and Postgres.
Solid understanding of systems at the operating-system level (e.g., Linux internals, process management, memory management, and file systems).
Proven experience with Puppet.
3+ years of experience in a cloud native, enterprise environment
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
A track record of delivering impactful features in complex, fast-paced environments.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to explain complex technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Self-starter: A lifelong learner who's comfortable with ambiguity and continually looks for ways to raise the bar.
Subject-matter expert: You demonstrate strong command of engineering best practices, including fault tolerance, security, and scalability.
Collaborative leader: You lead by example, give constructive feedback during design reviews, and help drive both quality and productivity.
Clear communicator: You bridge internal partners (architects, support teams) and stakeholders to resolve dependencies and incorporate feedback.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with the ElasticSearch/Kibana stack and REST API design.

Responsibilities

Identify and develop software solutions that improve operational efficiency and provide detailed visibility into performance metrics.
Develop AI-based automation to reduce errors, increase system availability, and accelerate operational velocity.
Enhance automation capabilities and develop orchestration tools to optimize system efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Design, develop, and test software with a focus on automation, scalability, and security, while mentoring other engineers.
Provide high-level support for Puppet and Oracle operational workflows.
