Systems Engineering and Integration Manager (Level K) Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Systems Engineering & Integration team is seeking a highly talented Level K Manager to lead the team located in Everett, WA . Position Overview : The successful candidate will lead Product Development Systems Engineering & Integration, including the Airplane Integration office. You will collaborate with SEIT and Safety core teams to define Systems Engineering and Safety plans and statements of work, and lead the execution of all Systems Engineering and Integration activities for future product studies and derivatives within BCA Product Development (Gates 1–4). Candidates should have experience implementing systems engineering on airplane programs, familiarity with SE across the development lifecycle including how it integrates with certification and safety, and deep knowledge of ARP4754A Development Assurance. The role has ownership of the definition and implementation of Concept of Operations, Functional Analysis, Interface Analysis, and Requirements development and analysis. Because this role is highly cross-functional, the candidate must build strong relationships and integrate work with many BCA functions and enterprise organizations to support initiatives such as Design Practices and Development Excellence. As the organization grows, this leader will also help hire, train, and transition staff to meet organizational needs. Proven ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams and to manage and empower teams through ambiguity is required. Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 10+ years of experience in aerospace
  • Previous experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing systems engineering on airplane programs.
  • Strong knowledge of systems engineering across the development lifecycle and its integration with certification and safety processes.
  • Deep familiarity with ARP4754A (Development Assurance) and related standards.
  • Experience with BCA product development processes (Gates 1–4).
  • Comprehensive familiarity with 14 CFR Part 25

Responsibilities

  • Lead Systems Engineering and Airplane Integration activities across product development (Gates 1–4).
  • Define Systems Engineering and Safety plans, statements of work, and execution strategies in collaboration with SEIT and Safety core teams.
  • Own and implement Concept of Operations, Functional Analysis, Interface Analysis, and Requirements development and analysis.
  • Ensure Systems Engineering activities align with certification and safety requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Maintain proactive awareness of international regulatory change, coordinate PD regulatory engagement, and clearly communicate implications to stakeholders.
  • Guides the team on implementation and interpretation of new regulations.
  • Apply ARP4754A Development Assurance practices and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships across BCA and enterprise organizations to support Design Practices and Development Excellence initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor, hire, and develop team members; manage teams through ambiguity and change.
  • Represent Systems Engineering in program reviews and stakeholder meetings.
