About The Position

T-Rex Solutions is seeking a fully cleared Systems Engineer to join their dynamic team in the Ft. Meade, MD area. This role involves supporting critical national security infrastructure. The Systems Engineer will analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. They will guide design and development activities, advise on alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies. The position requires technical leadership for integrating requirements, design, and technology, and incorporating new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations. Developing technical documentation, system architecture, and system design documentation is also a key part of this role. The Systems Engineer will guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans. They will interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts, holding ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables. Communication with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives is essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university, or 5 years of additional SE experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree (total of 8 years).
  • 3+ years of System Engineering experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Experience generating standard system engineering and test documents.
  • Excellent written skills and experience in generating program/process related documents.
  • Working experience with JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience with Wiki.
  • Experience in AWS (ability to navigate AWS dashboards & services).
  • Active TS/SCI w/ FSP.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a team of developers to implement new capabilities in support of the current classification marking tool and the tool to be used to support M365 web-based applications.
  • Document the full life cycle design, development, and testing of policy-driven software across multiple fabrics.
  • Troubleshoot and gather requirements.
  • Document the tool and inner workings, including creating standard system engineering and test documentation.
  • Test new software releases and document results.
  • Work directly with customers to identify and resolve user-reported issues by establishing alternative solutions or generating bug reports.
