About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to develop laser, electro-optic, and infrared systems for defense aerospace customers within the Integrated Survivability Systems business line. The role involves working as part of a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team on the design, modeling, simulation, and testing of next-generation autonomous systems for the digital/electronic warfare battle environment. This position requires full-time, on-site work at the Merrimack, NH facility due to the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and the nature of the role. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related STEM field with 2+ years of related experience; or Master's degree.
  • Active Secret Clearance and eligibility for a SAP/SAR Clearance.
  • Experience performing systems engineering activities across the development cycle (analysis/decomposition/derivation/allocation of requirements, system modeling & simulation, system design & development, system integration & test).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers in other disciplines.
  • Experience with the full Systems Engineering lifecycle.
  • Specific skills within the domains of active EO/IR, passive EO/IR or Electronic Warfare (EW).
  • Experience with MBSE Digital Engineering and SysML applications/tools like MagicDraw.

  • Previous hands-on work with lasers or electro-optics systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform systems engineering activities across the development cycle, including analysis/decomposition/derivation/allocation of requirements, system modeling & simulation, system design & development, and system integration & test.
  • Work effectively with engineers in other disciplines.
  • Execute tasks in Agile Environments (Sprints, Daily Scrums, Retrospectives).
