About The Position

PSI is seeking a knowledgeable, proactive, and self-motivated Systems Engineer to join its global, closely knit Systems Development team. The team works on a range of in-house projects, including web and desktop applications, ERP and BPM systems, document management systems, and AI initiatives. The role provides technical support for enterprise applications, troubleshoots application issues, and participates in testing and implementation to support smooth business operations. The position is full-time and based in Almaty or elsewhere in Kazakhstan; remote work from outside Kazakhstan is not supported.

Requirements

• University or college degree in Computer Science or an IT specialty.
• Solid technical background.
• Experience supporting business applications, software platforms, or enterprise systems.
• Experience creating SQL queries.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability and desire to work in a service-oriented, customer-focused environment.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in systems analysis.
• Experience with Jira Service Desk and Confluence or similar products.
• Experience in systems development and systems validation.
• Background in testing, including preparing test cases and executing test scripts.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for off-the-shelf software packages.
• Install Tier 3 and certain Tier 4 information systems and conduct user training.
• Install and support specialized systems, such as special warehouse systems.
• Monitor company software updates and new releases, and recommend migration when necessary.
• Track new software that may be relevant to the company and recommend purchases.
• Update the validation status of information systems applicable to CFR 21 Part 11.
• Study project-specific IT equipment provided by clients, conduct required user training, and provide ongoing equipment support.
• Conduct regular technical audits in company departments to check compliance with PSI standards for specialized equipment and Tier 3–4 systems.
