About The Position

Leidos is seeking a Systems Engineer to join a group focused on replacing an outdated system with a modern replacement and then rolling out a brand-new messaging system. The Systems Engineer will provide technical direction, guidance, and manage software trends across the project. This role involves performing systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, requirements allocation and interface definition, integration, and system documentation. The candidate will serve as the primary focal point for several enterprise systems and will frequently interact with senior-level Customers to provide innovative solutions and feedback.

Requirements

Must have an active TS/SCI with Poly to be considered
Requires BS degree and at least 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with at least 10 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
Strong communication skills.
Knowledge of systems analysis and development
Know core languages like Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, or C#
Ability to provide Analysis to data structures & algorithms
Demonstrated experience in full life-cycle software development project performing all phases of a rigorous software development methodology with the ability to identify gaps, mitigate technical risk, troubleshoot, and solve complex technical problems.
Hands on experience with Agile development processes.
Demonstrated experience with System Documentation.
Experience with Java for Software Development.
Experience with Puppet
