About The Position

In this role, you will participate in defining facility/system functions, behaviors, and other design requirements. You will perform system-level design verification and test requirements specifications. You will compile, adjust, and correlate data that will develop your professional work knowledge and abilities through the application of standard systems engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Requirements

Requires a bachelor's degree (Systems, Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.
US citizenship is required per contract requirement
Possess an active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
Experience in performing design and/or requirements change impact analysis.
Possess understanding of requirements management principles, and methods.
Knowledge of related construction practices and standard EPC deliverables
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in systems engineering
Experience executing systems engineering with SPEC Innovations – Innoslate , IBM® Rationale DOORS®, or other systems engineering software packages
Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering
Proposal experience aligning scopes of work to engineering deliverables
Be familiar with the design of complex industrial facilities
Experience with SE implementation on projects executed for DOD, or other similar government agencies.
Design experience with Unified Facilities Criteria and the Whole Building Design Guide

Responsibilities

Evaluates, selects, and applies standard Systems Engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria, using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications.
Develop system models using Model-Based Systems Engineering methods and tools (e.g., IBM® Rationale DOORS®, or Innoslate by Spec Innovations).
Defines facility/system functions, behaviors, and other design requirements, prepares the criteria documents and coordinates and facilitates technical discussion to resolve system design issues.
Coordinates system-level design verification, requirements verification, test requirements specifications, and requirements flow down and traceability.
Coordinates work and collaborate with other engineering disciplines.
Provides technical assistance to other Systems personnel and interacts with project functions, the customer, and regulatory agency personnel in the resolution of complex regulatory issues.
Provides assistance to project and construction management in identifying and complying with project Systems requirements and in addressing issues as they arise during project execution.
