About The Position

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is hiring a Systems Engineer - Level 6 to join its team in Chandler, Arizona. The engineer will work on an interdisciplinary team developing innovative solutions to advanced technical problems. The role includes designing and developing system architectures, defining system capabilities and performance requirements, identifying design and technology maturity constraints in accordance with customer specifications, defining external interfaces, and establishing system implementation approaches and operational concepts. The engineer will help ensure requirements are met and evaluate system performance with the customer.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) discipline and 14 years of related experience, or a master's degree in a STEM discipline and 12 years of related experience, or a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related experience.
• Must have an active Government Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's or master's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, systems engineering, or software engineering, with experience using model-based systems engineering.
• Experience in the military aerospace development environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of system architectures.
• Support flight-test-specific verification efforts.
• Develop architectures, concepts of operations (CONOPS), and use cases using model-based systems engineering methodologies.
• Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
• Perform system requirements analysis.
• Develop automation workflows for multidisciplinary functional processes supporting engineering and business processes.
