About The Position

We are seeking a Systems Engineer for the COMSEC IT Services contract. The Systems Engineer will design, integrate, test, implement, and sustain systems supporting COMSEC operations and modernization. The role will work across applications, infrastructure, automation, cloud technologies, databases, and security engineering.

Requirements

  • Experience with NIST 800-53.
  • Experience with Security control lifecycles.
  • Experience with Integrated Development Environments.
  • Experience with API development platforms and/or build automation tools.
  • Experience with AWS.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Experience with Azure.
  • Experience with C# or equivalent certifications/experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting government agencies, customers, or contracts within federal environments. This includes the Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Civil agencies, and military organizations.
  • Security+ certification or DoD 8570 IAT Level II.
  • Active Top Secret clearance required; TS/SCI eligibility/access may be required based on assigned duties.

  • Active TS/SCI clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience supporting the same or similar contract, with an in-depth understanding of the customer environment, requirements, and operational landscape, is highly desirable.
  • Experience engineering systems in classified environments.
  • Experience with DevSecOps and cloud architectures.
  • Experience supporting secure applications or COMSEC systems.
  • Experience integrating legacy and modern enterprise technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop system designs, architectures, and technical solutions.
  • Support integration of applications, infrastructure, databases, and cloud services.
  • Develop engineering plans, implementation procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Support system testing, validation, deployment, and lifecycle sustainment.
  • Troubleshoot complex systems and integration issues.
  • Support automation and modernization initiatives.
  • Work with development and operations teams to improve system reliability and maintainability.
  • Apply NIST 800-53 controls and security requirements throughout the engineering lifecycle.
  • Support API-based integration and build-automation environments.
  • Participate in configuration management and technical change control.
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity, database, software-development, and network-engineering teams.
