Systems Engineer

Zeno PowerSeattle, WA
$125,000 - $175,000Hybrid

About The Position

Zeno Power is seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer to support the engineering efforts of developing and bringing to market Radioisotope Power System (RPS) technologies. This role will report to the Engineering Manager, Systems Engineering. In this role you will develop, implement, and oversee design processes and tools to support RPS and facility design activities, including tracking and management of design documentation, technical requirements, and open design items. You will also develop and manage system, subsystem, and component requirements, and create and manage system artifacts such as Concepts of Operations (ConOps), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and additional design specification documents. Coordination with cross-functional product design, fabrication, and test teams is essential, including collaboration across geographically distributed Zeno teams, national laboratory partners, and subcontractors. You will ensure sound Systems Engineering methodology is applied to the design of RPS systems, test equipment, tooling, and integrated systems, and create integration and test plans to track hardware from procurement through acceptance. Verification of adherence to regulatory and code requirements through the design process and operations planning, and tracking requirements to closure through verification planning and execution are key responsibilities. You will also assist in schedule planning and technical activity development, ensuring adherence to schedule across groups, and generate and coordinate design package components for key systems including calculations, reports, drawings, and design specifications. Performing trade studies to objectively select concepts throughout the project lifecycle is also part of this role.
