About The Position

This role requires a Systems Engineer with extensive experience in VMware technologies and infrastructure architecture. The engineer will be responsible for installing, configuring, and managing VMware environments, including vCenter Server and ESXi clusters. A key aspect of the role involves implementing solutions for disaster recovery and failover, such as NSX, SRM, and vSAN. The position also demands a strong understanding of designing complex distributed systems and ensuring the health of virtual machines across multiple data centers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 16+ years of overall IT experience
• Hands-on experience installing and configuring vCenter Server
• Experience managing ESXi clusters
• Strong knowledge of VMware technologies, including vSphere, vCenter, and Aria Suite
• Experience implementing NSX, SRM, and/or vSAN in disaster recovery or failover environments
• 3+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture and designing complex distributed systems, including failover strategies, recovery/rollback processes, and application partitioning
• Experience monitoring and maintaining the health of virtual machines across multiple data centers

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Understanding of network and storage architectures, including SCSI, RAID, Ethernet, and Multi-processor (SMP) designs
• Experience virtualizing enterprise applications
• Familiarity with AWS environments
• Experience with VMware v7
• Strong networking background
• Experience supporting cloud migration efforts
• Experience with automation and operational integration across IT infrastructure

Responsibilities
