About The Position

Sentar is seeking a Systems Engineer to support U.S. Air Force’s Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD)/Sentinel program out of Huntsville, AL. The scope of this contract is to replace the Minuteman III missile. This role involves analyzing user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. The engineer will also analyze system requirements and lead design and development activities, incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations, and develop technical documentation and system architecture/design documentation. Interaction with the team regarding systems engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts is expected. The role carries responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the systems engineering area of responsibility.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret clearance obtained or adjudicated within the past 6 years and SAP/SCI eligibility
  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline.
  • 4 years of additional experience may be substituted for Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience modeling with Cameo Enterprise Architecture.
  • Experience with SysML, UML, or DoDAF modeling languages.
  • Experience with full software life-cycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debug and maintenance required.
  • Familiarity with a structured process driven software development environment including peer reviews of all work products, using a revision control system, defect tracking and build release practices required.
  • Experience with applied automated testing techniques including unit and integration testing.
  • Experience with test framework/application and system verification.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity in Agile, C/C++, and real-time processing including processes threads, scheduling, synchronization mechanisms and memory management required.
  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence.
  • Experience with safety critical and nuclear critical software development.
  • Experience with Git products.
