About The Position

As a systems engineer for Fleet Ballistic Missile Auxiliary and Training Systems, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for development, production, installation and sustainment support of the Ohio-class and Columbia-class’ Trident II Fire Control Auxiliary and Training Systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
  • 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable amount of time of hire.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Candidate must be local to the area and able to work onsite.
  • Clear understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards.
  • Clear understanding of requirements management and system modeling tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Agile experience
  • Familiarity with the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing.
  • Previous experience or coursework related to defense systems, particularly missile systems or fire control systems.
  • Experience with engineering tools and software such as IBM Rational DOORS for requirements management, MagicDraw for modeling, and Simulink for simulation and model-based design.
