I2X Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer to support ongoing activities for a cutomer in Colorado Springs, CO . This position will be on-site and will require an active Secret clearance. Part of development of new system concepts by transforming stakeholder needs, acquired through documentation and solicitation, into easily reviewable technical approaches. Perform requirements elicitation and decomposition using behavioral artifacts such as use cases, activity diagrams, and sequence diagrams to convey understanding of the required behaviors and performance of the system under development. Part of team to develop physical and logical system models capturing the system under development utilizing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches and tools. System interface development, as captured in Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and Interface Design Descriptions (IDDs), by converting system and interface requirements into message-level details sufficient to coordinate interface development. Support formal and informal engineering technical reviews. Create, review and critique interface documents, system requirements, verification documentation, architectural documentation, and engineering estimates. Interface with key stakeholders, including the customer and working-level counterparts, as-required. Participate in Agile development planning and execution, including iteration planning and status reporting.

Requirements

  • A final secret clearance is required for consideration.
  • Experience in an integrated team, covering the full Systems Engineering Development Lifecycle.
  • Proven experience interacting directly with customers to elicit needs and define requirements.
  • Hands on work with missile defense, space defense (Space Domain Awareness), or other similar space mission elements.
  • Proficiency in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using tools such as Cameo, etc.
  • Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel knowledge
  • US Citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience producing tooling and products to assist the with the analysis or assessment of a system or project is desired
  • Experience with DevOps related tooling (Jenkins, HTCondor, GitLab, etc) is desired
  • Experience with performing systems engineering for DoD Information Systems is desirable
  • Experience with creating and briefing chart packages for tooling or analysis performed
