About The Position
Northrop Grumman is seeking Systems Engineers to support their Space Systems teams. These positions are for junior, mid-level, and senior engineers and can be located in Chandler (AZ), Colorado Springs (CO), Aurora (CO), and Boulder (CO). The roles involve developing, evolving, and leading technological strategy across multiple skill areas for the organization, spanning all phases of the product development lifecycle from new business acquisition and technology development to established program support. The positions require a strong understanding of Systems Engineering, Systems Integration & Test, Cyber Systems Engineering, or Software Systems Integration. Due to the nature of the work, these positions are 100% on-site.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 2 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 1 year (Level 2)
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year (Level 3)
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 6 years, or PhD with 4 years (Level 4)
- An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree for certain positions
- Must have an active Secret clearance at time of application with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance
- U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s Degree or above in Engineering discipline
- Active Top Secret or Top Secret/SCI clearance
- Experience working on spacecraft systems
- Experience in developing, managing, and decomposing requirements
- Experience in system architecture, CONOPs, and/or model-based system engineering
- Experience in subsystem, payload, or system integration
- Experience using DOORS and Cameo
- Security+ certification
- Strong people skills
- Excellent communication skills (upward and downward)
Responsibilities
- Developing, evolving, and leading technological strategy in multiple skill areas for the broader organization.
- Supporting roles across all phases of the product development lifecycle, including new business acquisition, technology development, and established program support.
- Applying a strong understanding of Systems Engineering, Systems Integration & Test, Cyber Systems Engineering, or Software Systems Integration.
- Playing an instrumental role in the development and evolution of technological strategy.
